| The Honolulu High-Capacity Transit Corridor Project is studying how to improve the ability of people to move in the highly congested east-west corridor between Kapolei and the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
Over sixty percent of Oahu’s population currently lives within the area served by this corridor. This area is projected to continue to grow faster than the rest of Oahu.
A wide range of options for improving travel throughout the corridor are being evaluated against many criteria, including shortening travel times, project costs, environmental impacts, ease of implementation, support of the City and County of Honolulu’s long-range land use plans, and community benefits. |
